Rate Splitting With Finite Constellations: The Benefits of Interference Exploitation vs Suppression
نویسندگان
چکیده
Rate-Splitting (RS) has been shown recently to be a powerful approach for the design of non-orthogonal transmission, multiple access, and interference management strategies in multi-user multi-antenna systems. RS, through split messages into common private parts, relies on transmission streams decoded by all users, only its intended user. This enables RS bridge extreme fully decode treat as noise. In this paper, we depart from Gaussian signaling study under finite input alphabet system propose constructive (CI) exploitation further enhance sum-rate achieved RS. To that end, new analytical expressions ergodic are derived two precoding techniques messages, namely, 1) traditional suppression zero-forcing (ZF) approach, 2) closed-form CI approach. Our analysis is presented perfect channel state information at transmitter (CSIT), extended imperfect CSIT knowledge. A novel power allocation strategy, specifically suited setup, lead superior performance over conventional linear not relying (NoRS). The results work validate significant gain with ZF NoRS.

15 صفحه اولBounds on the Achievable Rate for the Fading Relay Channel with Finite Input Constellations
We consider the wireless Rayleigh fading relay channel with finite complex input constellations. Assuming global knowledge of the channel state information and perfect synchronization, upper and lower bounds on the achievable rate, for the full-duplex relay, as well as the more practical halfduplex relay (in which the relay cannot transmit and receive simultaneously), are studied. Assuming the ...
متن کاملInterference of stochastic resonances: splitting of Kramers' rate.
We consider the escape of particles located in the middle well of a symmetric triple well potential driven sinusoidally by two forces such that the potential wells rock as in stochastic resonance and the height of the potential barrier oscillates symmetrically about a mean as in resonant activation. It has been shown that depending on their phase difference the application of these two synchron...

Coding vs. Spreading for Narrow-Band Interference Suppression
The use of active narrow-band interference (NBI) suppression in direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DS-SS) communications has been extensively studied. In this paper, we address the problem of optimum coding-spreading tradeoff for NBI suppression. With maximum likelihood decoding, we first derive upper bounds on the error probability of coded systems in the presence of a special class of NBI, name...
